01

How to play

BomBash is turn-based artillery. Every player gets a turn to aim and fire. Take down your opponents before they take you down.

On your turn, you adjust the angle, set the power, check the wind and fire. Every impact opens craters and reshapes the terrain, so no two matches are the same. Play with the same account on Android and iOS.

Every shot changes the world.

What decides every shot

Angle

Adjust your aim to find the right path to the target.

Power

Too much power overshoots. Too little and the shot falls short.

Wind

The wind pushes your shot. Check it before you fire.

Terrain

Every impact opens craters. Use that to take your opponent down.

02

How to join a match

From the app to the battle in four steps.

Deck is where players meet. There you see the open Arenas, visit the Skin Shop and follow the ranking.

Arena is the match room. Open one or join one that's already open, pick your Frame and mark ready. When everyone is ready, the match starts.

What you'll see on screen

  • Station list
  • open Arena
  • join Arena
  • Arena Leader
  • ready
  • launch
  • spectator

Step by step

  1. Station

Pick a Station from the list.

  2. Deck

Enter the Deck, where players meet.

  3. Arena

Open an Arena or join an open one and pick your Frame.

  4. Battle

With everyone ready, the ships launch to the zone and the match starts.

03

Game modes

Each match can follow a different mode. The mode changes what happens when your Frame is destroyed, and even which Frame each player takes into battle.

Normal

Down means out

If your Frame is destroyed, you lose the match. You can keep watching and follow your opponents until the end.

Lives

Down, then back

When your Frame is destroyed, it respawns and jumps back into the battle. One mistake doesn't knock you out.

Swap

Change Frames mid-match

During the match you can swap Frames and adapt your strategy to the terrain, the wind and your opponents.

Clone

Everyone with the leader's Frame

If you're the arena leader, every other player joins with the same Frame as you. Best aim wins.

In every mode, angle, power, wind and terrain still decide every shot.

04

Missions

Besides matches against other players, the game has missions for you to play and earn rewards.

20+missions to play

What you earn

  • SkinsNew looks for your player.
  • GemsSave up gems to use in the game.
  • CreditsCollect credits as you progress through the missions.

Kinds of challenges

Mines

Missions with mines scattered across the terrain. Watch where your shot lands.

Robots

Face robots controlled by the game.

Target practice

Hit the targets and sharpen your aim.

And much more

All kinds of challenges that call for aim, power and reading the terrain.

Great for practice. Missions test your aim, your power and how you read the wind, and they still pay out rewards to your account.

05

Frames: pick your ship

The Frame is the ship you control in the match. Each one plays its own way and has its own attacks. Picking yours is the first decision of every match.

Every Frame plays differently. Brute is heavy artillery, Forge takes more hits and weakens the target's armor, Swarm fires lots of projectiles, Void pulls and pushes opponents, and Conduit grows stronger through the match. Try them and find the one that suits you.

Every Frame has three attacks: Shot 1, the most direct; Shot 2, with a different effect; and the Power Shot, the special one.

More Frames coming soon. For now, five Frames are unlocked. The ones with a crossed-out name haven't arrived yet and will unlock in upcoming updates.

Skins don't change combat. Your player shows up in the cabin with the Skin you choose, but the Frame does the fighting.

07

Zones

Every match takes place in a different zone. The terrain breaks and changes with every shot, and you can use that to your advantage.

What to watch out for

Each zone has its own terrain and wind. When you play:

  • the terrain is destructible: every impact opens craters and changes the path of your shots;
  • the wind pushes your shot and changes from zone to zone;
  • one shot at a time: each player plays on their turn;
  • falling into a chasm eliminates the Frame on the spot.

Read the terrain before you aim. Sometimes blowing a hole under your opponent is worth more than a direct hit.

Players and Skins

Your player is the one piloting the Frame. They have no ability of their own: all combat power comes from the ship.

SkinPlayer wearing the Celestial Skin: white robe, golden armor and a wing of light

Skin is how you look. Frame is how you fight.

The Skin is purely visual and never changes gameplay. In the match, your player shows up in the Frame's cabin. Skins are in the Skin Shop, on the Deck of each Station.
